Dear Christians, One and All, Rejoice
A hymn festival celebrating our Triune God’s creating, redeeming, and sustaining love.
Paul Soulek, guest organist
In celebration of Trinity’s 85th anniversary and the 1700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed, guest organist Paul Soulek, student brass players from Concordia University Nebraska, and the Trinity Choir will lead us in a hymn festival including hymns, anthems, reflections, scripture, and prayer.
Soulek, a hotdish-loving Minnesota native, is Cantor of St. John’s Lutheran Church and School in Seward, NE. He also serves as adjunct professor of music at Concordia University, Nebraska, and as cantor for the Lutheran youth organization Higher Things and its summer conferences. He is a graduate of Concordia, Nebraska (Bachelor’s, 2007) and Concordia Chicago (Master’s, 2015). When not making music, Paul enjoys spending time with family and friends, undertaking home renovations, and enjoying the natural wonders of Nebraska.
At a hymn festival, you can expect lots of congregational singing. Most of the hymns will be familiar to Trinity worshipers, while a few will be new. The musicians will help you learn the new hymns and will bring new life to the old favorites through creative musical accompaniments. The service will last around an hour. We hope you will join us!
