SEPTEMBER MEETING

Our first meeting will be Monday, September 20, featuring DAVID HEGARTY at the Music Hall.  This program is presented in cooperation with the Kansas City Theatre Organ group, and promises to be an exciting start to our year.  Please note – dinner will begin at 6:00 pm, in order to provide time for a presentation by a special committee appointed by the Board to explore the possibility of hosting a national convention.  Also, FREE PARKING is available in the lot at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral, but will fill quickly due to other events downtown that evening.  It would be wise to arrive early.

BOARD MEETING

Our first Board meeting will be Saturday, September 12 at 10:30 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  All committee chairs and those elected to positions are expected to attend.

AGO/QUIMBY COMPETITION

The KCAGO will be sponsoring a chapter level AGO/Quimby Competition for Young Organists to be held between Feb. 25 and April 3, 2011.  Rules and applications are available on line at agohq.org and were published in the June issue of The American Organist.  Young organists may begin now to prepare for this competition.  Those who attended our recent POE are encouraged to plan to participate.   Exact date and place are determined after all the applications are in.  For more information contact Ann Posey, competition coordinator.
